1st Amendment

A violation of this section may be prosecuted in the jurisdiction in which the communication was made or received or in the City of Richmond if venue cannot otherwise be established and the person subjected to the act is one of the following officials or employees of the Commonwealth and such official or employee was subjected to the act while engaged in the performance of his public duties or because of his position with the Commonwealth: the Governor, Governor-elect, Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant Governor-elect, Attorney General, or Attorney General-elect, a member or employee of the General Assembly, a justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia, or a judge of the Court of Appeals of Virginia. з 18.2-430. 2nd amendment (Bearing Arms)

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. I will fight for your Right to keep and bear arms. I believe that 2A right violations prevent law abiding citizens from keeping and bearing arms to protect our families, homes, neighborhoods, communities, cities, counties, state, and country. These violations provide opportunities for criminals to overpower those who would otherwise be armed and prepared to defend.

4th amendment (Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure)

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

14th Amendment

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

15th Amendment (Rights of Citizens to Vote)

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. I strongly believe that all voters, regardless of race, color, or previous condition of servitude, should have a valid voter’s registration, be a citizen of the US/State in order to vote, and provide a picture identification card issued by the state in which they are voting. I would like to explore the options of creating a secure online voting platform for the people of Virginia.

Pro-life

I will fight for the lives of born and unborn children. While Planned Parenthood provides other positive services to women of all ages, funding for abortions should be terminated.

Smaller government

I will fight to limit the government's reach into the lives of the Virginia people. No government knows how to best live your life! As Governor of Virginia, it is my top priority to restore power to the people. I will work to end qualified immunity. Government officials should be held to the same laws and standards as non-government officials. I will be your representative not the deciding factor. I will work with voters to repeal unconstitutional laws and restore Virginia to the people!

Taxes

I will fight to lower our taxes and make sure the taxes we do have, are spent in the most appropriate manner, benefiting the Virginia people not the elite and special interests. No more wasteful spending!

Education

I will fight for better funding for our schools, education reform, and fair pay for our educators. School systems and teachers are under-funded and stretched thin. A standardized test does not determine the intelligence capacity of a child. Stringent curricula that enforce specific teaching methods prohibit teachers from being creative in their methods and individualizing lessons and activities that bridge the gaps in student learning.

Health Care

I will fight to ensure quality health care with transparency and equal cost. I will work to end tax payer funded healthcare for members of government.

Veterans

I will fight to secure more efficient health care options and end the “22”! Being a veteran, I know what the Veteran's Association is like. I understand that there are many veterans who have pleasant experiences and are happy with their care from the VA. However, I lived on the exact opposite side of that spectrum for 18 years due to my service connected spinal cord injury. It is my intention to work toward a system that provides veterans with service connected disabilities or injuries the option to seek private primary care doctors and specialty doctors with Veteran coverage

Medicaid Expansion

I do not believe that a Medicaid expansion is the solution to any problem. Rather I feel it creates more issues within tax cost and budgets of state. I also understand that there is a great need for higher coverage within our low income and working class communities. While I am against an expansion, I understand and agree that this service cannot simply be removed. There needs to be programs and services for the low income and impoverished communities to help them reach a stable condition so that they no longer need these services.

ERA: Equal Rights Amendment

It is my express belief that equal rights for women in comparison to men is essential in our society today. If the constitution is understood to say that (all citizens are created equal) then it includes women along with any other class, so long as the individuals are citizens of the United States of America.

Telemedicine

Can be beneficial for the lower income families with young children, the elderly, veterans, and the average working American. A well thought out program and procedure would be of great benefit to health care providers and patients.

Immigration / Free college tuition for illegal immigrants

The United States of America is the Land of Opportunity! However, people who wish to live in our great country should follow the routines and policies that we currently have in place in order to become a citizen. Virginia tax payers are not responsible for funding illegal immigrants with driving privilege cards. We have too many citizens in this country who have forgone the opportunity of a higher education due to the inability to afford it. Why then, would it be appropriate for illegal immigrants to obtain free tuition?

Repeal of Unconstitutional Laws

Kurt will create a study composed of Citizens to review laws and submit for removal or revision. For too long our legislators have created laws turning Free American Citizens into criminals, Time to change that!

Political Office Term Limits

I am running on a bipartisan platform of term limits.There is a huge distrust and disconnect between the people and career politicians. It doesn't matter if you are a republican or a democrat, they all want solutions to the problems that are affecting them. Everyone I have ever spoken with believes there is a level of corruption or deceit, and want change. People see the division and lies from the political elite and understand that corrupt politicians are the problem. People believe term limits will allow us to rebuild trust and unity. When you start to rebuild trust and unity, you also begin to have the hard conversations to find solutions that we can all agree on to the many many problems we have, not only in our State, but our Country! Term limits will wipe the slate clean, every career, corrupt, manipulative, lying politician gone!

Qualified Immunity

Remove or Revise our legislators qualified immunity. For far too long our legislators have created laws that protected them from the citizens and sent good citizens to jail or prison. Our legislators have used their qualified immunity to hide the truth from the people with no reasonable recourse for the people to fine, sue, or arrest them for their criminal activity. This will pave the way for more transparency between the people and the government they control.
